The new White Lander is a North Lander adapted to women. That means this model benefits from the same technical specifications as its bigger brother but has a smaller width and diameter size frame, more elegant ratchet buckles and a different decking cosmetic. This makes the overall snowshoe lighter and easier to walk especially for women.
Faber is proud to present a simple yet efficient design. Stronger than conventional soft decking, this new generation of snowshoes is assembled with a new light and sturdy patented Wing Traction Decking, made out of low temperature impact copolymer (- 40 Celsius). The sturdiness is due to the decking wing torsion, providing extra traction and creating exit holes for snow. The cambered aluminium frame increases flotation and rebound action, while the curved open rear end avoids dragging effect while walking. A powder coating, non-adhesive finish covers the frame.
This snowshoe features the SP pivoting system, built with a carbon steel rod providing full rotation with stopper, designed to prevent the snowshoe hitting the shinbone. It also eases backstepping and jumps over obstacles. This pivoting system is perfect for both on- and off-trail use. Positioned in front, with a firm suspension, the system eases every step by lifting the front of the snowshoe while the back end stays on the snow, saving energy to exit the snow print and unloading the decking when off-trail.
This snowshoe is equipped with a Trio 2LR binding (2 smaller lever ratchets + toe box) and a foot bed and heel piece design to maximize control of the snowshoe. This series is also equipped with a 4.5 inch long aluminium front crampon and a 3 inch long heel crampon for optimal traction on any terrain.
